Set by hand, one prong at a time

A solitaire takes our setters the better part of a day. The seat is cut to the stone rather than the stone pushed into the seat, which is slower, and the reason the light gets underneath.

Cut

The only C decided by a person rather than the earth. Proportion and finish are what return light to the eye.

D

Colour

Graded D to Z. We set nothing below G, where the warmth is invisible once the stone is in metal.

VS

Clarity

Inclusions are the stone's record of its own making. VS and above are clean to the unaided eye.

ct

Carat

Weight, not size. Two stones of equal carat can read very differently depending on how the cut spreads them.
